Due to the growing demand for erfi products, an extension was necessary at the Freudenstadt location. The two-story high industrial building comprises a total of 2,200 square meters and has an investment volume of approximately 4.2 million euros. In addition to expanded storage space and logistics, it serves the increased production demands in the new Industry 4.0 standard. In addition, a new and extensive customer and training center will be created, which presents erfi's modern product world in an optimal environment.
On the ground floor, a 1,100 square meter production hall with warehousing and logistics areas will be built. The hall will house the incoming goods as well as the final assembly of the furniture corpuses. This creates considerable freedom in the existing final assembly hall for the simultaneous execution of several major projects. The new production hall offers additional storage and logistics areas for incoming goods as well as necessary areas for trade fair preparation.
On the upper floor, a modern customer and training center with an area of approximately 1,100 square meters is being built. The exclusive and spacious exhibition and sales area enables our customers to get to know the complex products of erfi comprehensively. High-quality, separated meeting areas simultaneously accommodate different groups of visitors. At the same time, the Customer Center is used as a training center for all customers, partners and employees.
Erfi's new product world appeals to customers emotionally through unique design and functionality. erfi received international design awards for the new products, such as the reddot design award. The new customer center is dedicated to the contemporary design requirements of the erfi product world in terms of functionality, scope and atmosphere, and also provides the basis for future in-house trade fairs.
At the same time as the start of the new building, erfi is investing approximately € 4 million in a completely new laboratory furniture production with fully automated and linked Industry 4.0 machines. Due to the comprehensively networked new machine park with automation tapes and state-of-the-art control center technology, one of the most modern furniture production plants is created in Freudenstadt. With the aid of a control console software, all furniture and electronic components can be tracked and controlled during the fully automated production. New robot technology and sorting memory for components enable the up-to-date feeding of the various new CNC machines.
